2019 sees the Cleveland Way celebrate its 50th birthday and there are loads of events taking place throughout the year. The 109 mile route starts in Helmsley and meanders north across moorland to Saltburn-by-the-Sea before heading south along the clifftops to finish in Filey having passed through Staithes and many more of the coastal towns and villages along the way. Seasoned walkers can complete the entire route over several days. More casual ramblers can pick one of many locations for a short walk followed by a pit stop in one of the many local pubs, cafes and restaurants.
