Sleeps 6 in double, twin and bunk bedrooms. Beautiful harbour/sea views from the master bedroom on second floor. Large kitchen/diner, lounge, house bathroom, separate toilet and en suite to master. Full central heating throughout. Parking permit for Staithes Bank Top provided March to October inclusive.

Waverley House is a Grade II listed property in the heart of old Staithes village offering spacious accommodation and a wealth of original features, including ceiling beams, sash windows and cast iron range. Renovations have added a large open plan kitchen/diner which creates a fantastic hub to the house and features reclaimed pews from the old Bethel Chapel. The cottage has central heating throughout and is great for holidays and short breaks throughout the year. There is a bench to the front of the cottage from which to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and catch up on the village gossip. Waverley House enjoys the perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront. Short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Cottage Layout

AmmoniteGround Floor – large open plan kitchen/diner with superb original cast iron range (non- working) and many other original features. The dining area features reclaimed pews from the old Bethel Chapel and seats up to 8 guests. There is additional comfy seating. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with oven/hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine.

Lower Ground Floor – spacious lounge area with original fireplace (non-working) and ceiling beams. Two large sofas, TV and DVD player and portable CD player.

First Floor - On the first floor there are bright and sunny bunk and twin rooms. Both have original beams and sash windows overlooking the High Street. There is a recently refurbished bathroom with full sized bath/overhead shower and a separate toilet.

Second Floor – master bedroom with en suite shower room. This is light and airy with a fantastic view of Staithes harbour to the rear. There are original stripped floorboards and ceiling beams. It is the perfect place to enjoy the sea views with an early morning cup of tea!

Outside – bench to the front of the cottage from which to enjoy the afternoon sunshine and catch up on the village gossip. Small enclosed yard to the rear.

The cottage is strictly non- smoking. The internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Bedding and towels are provided and we include utility bills in the rental. We provide a parking permit for use in the Staithes Bank Top car park when parking charges apply March to October inclusive.

A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

We are happy to accept one dog at the property for an additional charge of £25 and may consider an additional dog by prior arrangement. We ask that your dog stays on the ground floor/basement levels of the cottage at all times, is kept off furniture and not left alone in the cottage at any time unless you bring a travel crate.

We charge a refundable damage deposit against any significant damage or loss of the parking permit. The damage deposit is due with your final balance one month prior to arrival and is returned to you once we have checked the property and confirmed that the parking permit is in place. We will provide full terms and conditions at the time of booking. Payment is by cheque or internet transfer.
