Cottage Details

Unrivalled location on harbour front with extensive sea views. Sleeps 4+1 in double, small double and single bedrooms. Open plan kitchen/diner/living area, house bathroom and ground floor shower room. Underfloor heating and open fire on ground floor and electric heaters in bedrooms. Parking permit for Staithes Bank Top provided March to October inclusive.

Harbour View is a quirky and charming Grade II listed cottage set right on the Staithes harbour. The ground floor is set up for open plan living with well equipped kitchen/dining and lounge areas. The separate shower/utility room is located to the rear of the ground floor. There is underfloor heating and open fire on the ground floor, so Harbour View is a cosy seaside retreat throughout the year. To the front of the cottage is a yard area with seating – the perfect spot from which to enjoy a cup of tea or an evening glass of wine whilst watching the world go by. Harbour View can sleep up to 5 people, though we would recommend a maximum of 4 adults to allow you to enjoy the facilities in comfort. The cottage is a stone’s throw from the harbour beach and short walk to the village pubs and amenities. Parking is available outside for unloading only, with the main car park being a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Cottage Layout

Ground Floor - open plan kitchen/dining/living room with exposed stone walls and open fire. The kitchen is well equipped with hob/oven/extractor, integral dishwasher, microwave and espresso machine. The lounge has leather sofas, large flat screen TV, DVD and CD player. The main heating to this room is by an underfloor system and there is also an open fire. To the rear of the ground floor is separate shower room/utility with walk in shower cubicle, WC and sink. The washer/dryer is also located in this room.

First Floor – double bedroom with king sized bed and second small double room. Both bedrooms have uninterrupted harbour views. The bathroom is fully tiled in blue mosaic and has a slipper style bath with hand held shower, sink and WC.

Outside – small yard area with bench from which to enjoy the amazing view of Staithes harbour.

The cottage is strictly non- smoking. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues plus there is some restricted head height on the first floor.

Bedding and towels are provided and we include utility bills in the rental plus an initial supply of logs for the open fire November to March inclusive. We provide a parking permit for use in the Staithes Bank Top car park when parking charges apply March to October inclusive.

A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

We are happy to accept one dog at the property for an additional charge of £25 and may consider an additional dog by prior arrangement. We ask that your dog stays on the ground floor of the cottage at all times, is kept off furniture and not left alone in the cottage at any time unless you bring a travel crate.

We charge a refundable damage deposit against any significant damage or loss of the parking permit. The damage deposit is due with your final balance one month prior to arrival and is returned to you once we have checked the property and confirmed that the parking permit is in place. We will provide full terms and conditions at the time of booking. Payment is by cheque or internet transfer.
