Wanting a chance to get away from it all? Grimes Nook is a self-contained apartment in a Grade II listed property. There is an open living/kitchen/dining room, double bedroom and large shower room. It is a great place for a couple or single person looking to get away from it all in this beautiful coastal village. The open plan living space has exposed stone walls and fireplace with a log burner plus there is additional electric heating in all rooms. Grimes Nook is located on High Barrass in a quiet location away from the main High Street, but still has easy access to the local pubs and shops. Short term parking is available in the High Street for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. Please note that you will have to climb up a short flight of steps to reach the cottage.
Grimes Nook is attached to Grimes Cottage, which sleeps 4 people. This creates a great combination for a larger family where part of the group is looking for some privacy. Cottage Layout
Cosy living area with exposed stone walls and fireplace with log burning stove. There are two large sofas, flat screen TV and DVD player. Well equipped kitchen/dining area with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and dining table seating up to 4.
Off the living area is a good sized double bedroom with metal bedstead, chest of drawers and wardrobe. The separate shower room has an electric shower in a large walk in corner shower cubicle, toilet, sink and heated towel rail. To the front of the cottage is a small self contained seating area with bench.

The cottage is strictly non- smoking. Bedding and towels are provided and we include utility bills in the rental plus an initial supply of logs for the log burner November to March inclusive. We provide a parking permit for use in the Staithes Bank Top car park when parking charges apply March to October inclusive.
A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge by prior arrangement and subject to availability.
We are happy to accept one dog at the property for an additional charge of £25 and may consider an additional dog by prior arrangement. We ask that your dog is kept off furniture, not allowed in the bedroom and not left alone in the cottage at any time unless you bring a travel crate.
We charge a refundable damage deposit against any significant damage or loss of the parking permit. The damage deposit is due with your final balance one month prior to arrival and is returned to you once we have checked the property and confirmed that the parking permit is in place. We will provide full terms and conditions at the time of booking. Payment is by cheque or internet transfer.
