The perfect hideaway for couples Cinder Path is an unusual two storey cottage set high above the High Street with magnificent views out across the roof tops to Cowbar cliff, Staithes harbour and the sea beyond. The cottage has been beautifully furnished by the owner to reflect his love of art and his extensive travels around the Far East, Portugal and, of course, Staithes! It is located on one of the many cliff top paths that surround the village, but is also conveniently just off the main High Street. There are double and single bedrooms at the cottage, which is perfect if you wanted to bring an additional guest. Short term parking is available in the High Street for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. The harbour, local pubs and amenities are only a short walk away. Please note that you will have to climb up a short flight of steps to reach the cottage.

Cottage Layout

Ground Floor - cosy, well equipped kitchen/diner with electric cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge with freezer compartment. Dining table seating up to 4. Good sized double bedroom with unusual antique metal bedstead and smaller single room, both of which have views high above the High Street towards Cowbar cliff.

First Floor - living room with large sofa and two very comfortable armchairs, TV/DVD player and CD player. There are full height Velux windows set in to the eves from which you can enjoy the magnificent views out towards the harbour. This is the perfect spot for relaxing and admiring the extensive collection of Staithes artwork or simply enjoying the view. The bathroom has full sized bath and electric shower.

The cottage is strictly non- smoking. The internal staircase is steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues plus there is some restricted head height on the first floor.

Bedding and towels are provided and we include utility bills in the rental. We provide a parking permit for use in the Staithes Bank Top car park when parking charges apply March to October inclusive.

A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

We are happy to accept one dog at the property for an additional charge of £25 and may consider an additional dog by prior arrangement. We ask that your dog is kept off furniture, out of the bedrooms and not left alone in the cottage at any time unless you bring a travel crate.

We charge a refundable damage deposit against any significant damage or loss of the parking permit. The damage deposit is due with your final balance one month prior to arrival and is returned to you once we have checked the property and confirmed that the parking permit is in place. We will provide full terms and conditions at the time of booking. Payment is by cheque or internet transfer.
