Sleeps 8 in two double and two twin bedrooms. Lounge/diner, kitchen, additional lounge on first floor, house bathroom and large shower room. Full central heating throughout and open fire on the ground floor. Sun terrace to rear and decked garden. Lockable shed for storage. Parking permit for Staithes Bank Top provided March to October inclusive.

Barrass View is a striking former sea captains house that is perfect for spending time with large family groups and friends, as the house is set over three floors and has plenty of living space. It has been fully renovated and enjoys modern facilities/appliances, an open fire on the ground floor and full central heating throughout. The property is unique to Staithes in that it has a large tiered garden to the rear of the house from which you can enjoy breathtaking views of the harbour. Barrass View is situated on Barrass Square just off the main High Street where short term parking is available for unloading and the main car park is a 5-10 minute walk from the cottage. It is only a short walk to the harbour, village pubs and amenities.

Cottage Layout

Ground Floor - living/dining room with feature fireplace and open fire, leather sofas, flat screen TV, DVD player, portable radio/CD player and dining table with seating for 8 people. The separate kitchen is well equipped and has electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is also a utility room which has a large fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble drier.

First Floor - lounge/sun room with a flat screen TV and DVD player, comfy chair and large sofa. Patio doors lead out on to the sun terrace. Large bathroom with Victorian style suite and tiling. Double bedroom with a king sized bed and partial sea views and a twin bedroom with small flat screen TV. Both bedrooms have wrought iron bedsteads and deep, luxurious mattresses.

Second Floor – twin room with views across the cliffs and master bedroom with super king sized bed and partial sea views. These bedrooms also have wrought iron bedsteads and deep, luxurious mattresses. Large shower room with walk in cubicle/power shower, toilet, sink and bidet.

Outside – large decked garden to the rear of the property which enjoys amazing views over Staithes harbour. There is a large table and chairs and BBQ – the perfect spot from which to enjoy an evening glass of wine. Lockable shed which is useful for storing bicycles and surf boards.

The cottage is strictly non- smoking. The internal staircases are steep and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues and there is some restricted head height on the second floor.

Bedding and towels are provided and we include utility bills in the rental and an initial supply of coal for the open fire November to March inclusive. We provide a parking permit for use in the Staithes Bank Top car park when parking charges apply March to October inclusive.

A travel cot and high chair are available free of charge by prior arrangement and subject to availability.

We are happy to accept one dog at the property for an additional charge of £25 and may consider an additional dog by prior arrangement. We ask that your dog stays in the living areas of the cottage and is not allowed in the bedrooms, kept off furniture and not left alone in the cottage at any time unless you bring a travel crate.

We charge a refundable damage deposit against any significant damage or loss of the parking permit. The damage deposit is due with your final balance one month prior to arrival and is returned to you once we have checked the property and confirmed that the parking permit is in place. We will provide full terms and conditions at the time of booking. Payment is by cheque or internet transfer.
